Welcome to Harold Treakle Memorial VFW Post 993

Located in the historic Cradock section of Portsmouth Virginia, it is the third oldest Charter in the state.

The post, dedicated to Portsmouth native Sgt. Harold W. Treakle, who died in combat in World War II, was chartered in 1922. It originally was in Olde Towne Portsmouth, but relocated to Cradock in 1983, in a building donated by the Treakle family.


Post 993 has about 200 members who have served in foreign conflicts dating back to World War II.
